Hantavirus Outbreak Kills Cruise Passengers; Ship Quarantined, Passengers Evacuated

A hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius cruise ship has resulted in three passenger deaths, with two more testing positive after evacuation. Passengers are being repatriated to over 20 countries for monitoring, including 16 in Nebraska, as health authorities work to contain the Andes virus strain, which can spread person-to-person.
